About SuburbScan
Helping Australians make confident property decisions with transparent, data-driven suburb insights.
Our Mission
Buying property is one of the biggest decisions you'll ever make. Yet critical information about suburbs — bushfire history, coastal erosion, aircraft noise, crime rates, demographic trends, school proximity, and transport access — is scattered across dozens of government websites, often in formats that are hard to interpret. SuburbScan brings it all together in one place, giving you a clear picture of any suburb or address in Australia before you commit.
What We Do
SuburbScan aggregates publicly available data from official Australian government sources — including the ABS Census, state crime statistics agencies, national bushfire records, DEA Coastlines satellite erosion data, ANEF aircraft noise contours, GTFS public transport feeds, and the ACARA school directory — and presents it in an easy-to-understand format. We calculate risk and livability scores, track demographic trends, and surface the insights that matter most to property buyers, investors, and researchers.
Our Data
Every data point on SuburbScan comes from an official, publicly available government source. We don't make predictions or guesses — we let the data speak for itself. Our risk scores are derived from transparent methodologies based on historical records, and we always link back to the original data sources. For full details, visit our Data Sources page.
Who We Are
SuburbScan is built and maintained by Yakhnov Studio, a Melbourne-based development studio focused on building useful, well-crafted digital products.
